Spend your Saturdays this month with hayrides, pumpkin picking, fall treats, and that cozy autumn vibe. Island Farm’s Pumpkin Patch is always family friendly and a perfect way to enjoy Outer Banks’ changing seasons.

Outer Banks Parade of Homes | Outer Banks | October 9-11th

Get inspired by stunning homes, craftsmanship, and design trends at the 33rd Annual Parade of Homes. Tours run Thursday through Saturday, 10:00 AM–6:00 PM. Tickets are $20, available online via credit card, or in person at any of the homes during tour dates. The ticket also lets you vote on your favorite home (your ticket becomes your voting ballot). Don’t miss our featured home, Huff’s Harbor, in Southern Shores, among the 12 homes showcased this year. This is the 6th home on Wax Myrtle Trail that we’ve featured on the Parade!

Duck Jazz Festival | Duck | October 11 and 12th

Jazz in the air, good food, and weekend vibes. This event brings together local musicians and visitors for soulful performances and community celebration by the sound.

Outer Banks Seafood Festival | Nags Head | October 18th

Seafood lovers, this one’s for you. Expect fresh catches, coastal eats, vendors, and family-friendly fun at the waterfront Event Site. Great way to taste OBX flavor and support local businesses.

Cancer Shucks | Manteo| October 24th Outer Banks Health Development Council Presents the 2nd Annual Cancer Shucks

Cancer Shucks returns for its 3rd annual oyster roast & low country boil at Pirate’s Cove Pavilion from 6:00 – 10:00 PM. Tickets go on sale October 1 and are $150 each — that includes food, beer/wine, live music, and supporting OBX cancer care services. There are also sponsorships available now, and raffle tickets (one winner of a ~$3,000 value package) are for sale too. Contact Sandy for more information on sponsorships.
