A Transformation Worth Sharing

This Martins Point Renovation

Completed in 2024, this one of those projects we have wanted to share more fully for quite some time. Because Martins Point does not allow public home tours, it was never able to be featured in the Parade of Homes. But it was every bit as deserving of one.

The home already had beautiful architecture and an incredible waterfront setting, but the transformation was extensive. We worked throughout the house to lighten and update the interiors, completely rethink the kitchen and bathrooms, and create outdoor spaces that better connected the home to the water. The finished result feels dramatically different while still preserving the character that made the house special in the first place.

Inside, the renovation included a completely redesigned kitchen with custom cabinetry, a large island, professional-style appliances, warm wood floors, and views toward the water. The primary bath was reworked with soft blue cabinetry, marble flooring, brass details, a freestanding tub beneath the arched windows, and a new glass shower. Even spaces like the laundry room were given the same attention to detail.

Outside, the transformation was just as significant. The waterfront side of the property was reimagined with a new pool and spa, expanded hardscape, refreshed landscaping, and a more open connection to the lawn, sound, and dock.

It was a massive renovation, and one we are still incredibly proud of.

Ocean Vie Renovation - front of house with sunset in backgroundAnd speaking of projects we are proud of; we are still riding the high from this year’s Parade of Homes.

Over three days, 982 people walked through House #5 at 35 Ocean View Loop. To see attendance return to pre-pandemic levels and to welcome nearly 1,000 people through a home we had poured so much into was incredible.

We were honored to receive the Grand Champion Award for Overall Highest Score, the Judges’ Award of Excellence for the Remodel Category, and the Special Feature Award for Outdoor Living Space. And after the Parade wrapped up, we were thrilled to learn that House #5 had also received the People’s Choice Award for our category.

That one meant a little something extra.

The judges’ awards are an incredible honor, but knowing that the people who walked through the home, experienced the spaces, and saw the transformation firsthand chose our project as their favorite in the category was very special to us.

None of it happens alone.

We are so thankful for the trade partners and subcontractors who helped bring the project to life! Many of whom spent the Parade weekend right there at the house with us. Thank you to the Parade committee and everyone behind the scenes who puts so much time into making this event happen each year. Thank you to our friends and family who helped us prepare. They worked alongside us throughout the weekend, and helped us put everything back together when it was over.

And thank you to every single person who traveled from near and far to tour this year’s homes and businesses. Seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new people, hearing your questions, and listening to your feedback made the weekend incredibly rewarding.

Most of all, we are grateful to our clients.

Opening your newly renovated home to nearly 1,000 people in three days is a tremendous act of trust. They welcomed all of us into a home that had only recently become theirs again after such a large renovation. They allowed us to share the finished result with an entire community.

We will never take that generosity for granted.

This year’s Parade was one we will remember for a long time — not simply because of the awards, but because of the people who made it possible.

Thank you for showing up, supporting our work, and celebrating alongside us.

If you missed it, take a look here.

And now, somehow, we’re already looking forward to October 2027!
