Outer Banks Roofing is a roofing company based out of Jarvisburg, North Carolina. Husband and wife, Jose Garcia and Gwen Forbes, started the company in 2003 and have enjoyed serving the Outer Banks community since.

When did you start working at Outer Banks Roofing? Outer Banks Roofing was formed in the fall of 2003 by my husband, Jose, and I. We started with shingles and in the last 10 years we also started working with metal roofing and seamless gutters.
What is your favorite thing about your job? Jose and I both enjoy the metal roofing aspect of the company, but I think we both enjoy talking with our customers and helping them choose the color of their new roof!
If you could do another job for one day what would it be? If I could have another job for one day I would be a bookstore owner. Jose says if he could get paid to relax on a beach in Cancun for the day then he’ll be more than happy to switch.
How long have you with Mark and Sandy? We met Mark and Sandy 15 years ago and have enjoyed working with them on various projects since.
What is your favorite thing to do on the Outer Banks? Our favorite thing to do on the Outer Banks is to go to the beach with our family when the weather is warm and to cook out.
What brought you to the Outer Banks? I was born in Currituck and Jose moved to the area over 20 years ago.
