Mark and Sandy Martin built our home in Southern Shores North Carolina. It was a totally custom home. There was not one detail that was missed by them. From the first meeting till the completion of the home they made the process simple and easy to understand. No problem was too big. Issues during construction were solved quickly and to our satisfaction.

Creative ideas were always evident and executed. They listened to our ideas, put them to paper and then built the idea. No idea was dismissed. They were all thoroughly explored and reviewed. They were very considerate of our neighbors as we built in an established neighborhood.

Not only did they build us a home, they became our friends as well.

After purchasing a parcel of land in Southern Shores in 2006, we talked to a number of local builders to see which one would be the best fit to build our retirement home. After meeting with Mark and Sandy and visiting several of the homes they had built, we were very impressed with the quality of work and the attention to detail. We decided that Sandmark Construction would be the best builder for our new home. We worked closely with Mark and Sandy as the design of our home took shape. Our lot presented special construction challenges. Mark worked to ensure that our design would provide the maximum use of space and provide the best views of the Currituck Sound. Once construction began in the summer of 2008, we were very pleased with the pace of the work and Mark’s ability to modify our design as construction proceeded. Our house was completed within six months. We love our new home and would highly recommend Sandmark Construction to any potential client.

It's hard to believe that it is almost two years since we were about to embark on the addition to our beach home! From the very beginning when we first sat down to discuss the design of our addition we just knew it was going to be a wonderful experience.

We have had so many great comments from neighbors and friends who have mentioned they could not tell where the existing house was and the addition started, that the whole house looks like it was completed all at the same time. The choices of materials and recommendations which you suggested made it obvious to us that you prefer high quality throughout the home.

We have now been I our new addition for over a year and have encountered several pretty rough nor’easters and are very happy to report there has not been a single issue or any leaks which again is proof that the addition is constructed extremely well with the existing structure.

Mark and Sandy, it truly has been a wonderful experience full circle with you!! We cannot sing your praises enough of the professionalism and integrity that you both possess. Not only are we blessed to have our dream come true, we’ve been blessed by your friendship that has come out of it.

We would like to recommend Sandmark Construction and Real Estate to anyone looking to build or renovate a home on the Outer Banks. Everytime we spend time in our new Sandmark home, we appreciate all of the work, thought and care that went into it. This was our first building experience on the Outer Banks, and using Sandmark was the best decision we could have made.
